Simon Rush
Founding Director |
Role:
Simon Rush founded SyRis Consulting in 2000 and is responsible for strategic planning, development and maintenance of strategic alliances, operational performance and program development and maintenance. Simon also plays a key role in undertaking quality assurance on all data provided to clients, providing costing support to the team and leading consulting projects on behalf of SyRis. Experience: Simon has 20 years worth of experience in the Victorian casemix environment and started out working as a business analyst at Monash Medical Centre before moving onto the position of nursing business manager at the Alfred Hospital. From these experiences he developed an interest in clinical costing and moved to Allegiance systems, which was responsible for the roll out and maintenance of Victoria’s first clinical costing system ‘Transition’ across major metropolitan and regional hospitals in Victoria, Queensland and New Zealand. In 2000 Simon moved to create SyRis Consulting, establishing his own clinical costing tool ‘Adaptive Costing’ which is currently used by one third of casemix funded hospitals in Victoria. |
Wayne McKenna

Role:
Wayne is responsible for providing costing support to our clients and is an integral team member, who has lead many of our consulting projects. Wayne also provides taxation services to a number of other clients. Experience: Wayne has 11 years experience within the Victorian casemix environment, including providing clinical costing services and significant consulting projects. He joined SyRis Consulting after 4 years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he worked as a Senior Manager and before that, 10 years experience in the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance. He trained in Economics and Accounting and provides significant analytical and consulting skills. |
Kathryn Cisera

Role:
Kathryn is a costing support consultant responsible for processing data for our clients. Experience: Kathryn has been with SyRis Consulting for 7 years and has 17 years of experience working for metropolitan health services as a microbiologist. |
Cate Harford
Application Support |
Role:
Cate is a costing support consultant responsible for processing data for our clients. Experience: Cate has been with SyRis Consulting for 7 years. Cate has 15 years experience working within the public health system in both Bacteriology and Virology laboratories. |
Maree Cisera
Consultant |
Role:
Maree is a costing support consultant responsible for processing data for our clients. Experience: Maree worked for the Western Healthcare Network for 11 years in various roles from Occupational Therapist to Chief Occupational Therapist and then project manager for the Allied Health IT project. Maree transferred to Royal Melbourne hospital to manage the Emergency Department Breakthrough Collaborative in 2000. |
Kyran Gostelow
Systems Administrator Costing Consultant |
Role:
Kyran is the systems administrator here at SyRis, he looks after the servers, ensuring that they perform well and are maintained properly as well as upgrading systems as needed. Experience: Kyran has worked on a varity software development projects and has grown up with systems administation skills. He is continuosly expanding his capibilities. |
