Healthcare Management Consulting

Utilising expertise in healthcare, we are regularly involved in funding and costing reviews of clinical specialties and service providers.  This includes funding and costing reviews of specific clinical specialties.  In the past this has included NICU and Theatre projects, where our analysis resulted in improvements to funding models and clinical practice.  We have also been involved in service planning reviews which analyse the future service workloads of providers.


Solving complex business, finance and tax problems 

Most problems can be solved by the application of knowledge, willpower and resources.  Resources and skills commonly used are detailed analysis and interpretation skills.  Knowledge is based on an economics / accounting background; 10 years in government and 5 years consulting.  Willpower comes from executive sponsorship/ ownership and commitment to best practice.  If all components exist then a solution exists.

Patient utilisation data is taken from the site, audited against the GL, matched against patient episodes and merged with the revenue data to create usable clinical business management information.  Adaptive Costing data forms the foundation for AltPrac projects, Benefits Realisation Projects and M2M auditing.

Ubiquity 6.0TM allows quality improvement managers to co-ordinate quality programs across multiple areas. 

ERIC 4.0TM - Computerised Clinical Guidelines for pneumonia and stroke management. 

AltPracTM  and Benefits Realisation Projects.  Using costing data, sites are able to benchmark and compare their practice at the patient level.  Benefits Realisation Projects aim to improve practices across sites. These can involve risk/gain sharing measures.
